Melted Crayon Apples

Today we started our new unit on trees, seeds, and leaves.  First up we did a couple of pages on apples so I thought it was the perfect time to do a apple craft "Melted Crayon Wax Paper Apples" from ....wait for it.......Pinterest:-)

You start by cutting out a apple shape from wax paper then you sprinkle some crayon shavings on the shape.  After about a minute in the microwave you will have melted wax, the boys used paintbrushes to spread it over the whole apple.

 

After they dried we added some construction paper leaves.  Super easy and the kids loved it!! We are going to hang them in the window as sun catchers:-)
