We school year round for a few reasons. The main one being that it gives me way more flexibility. By working all year I don't have to stress when we take off for vacation, pretty days, illness, or just bad moods. Still once we get off track due to one of those reasons sometimes it's a little hard to get back on track then I would like.
I started trying Monday of this week (it's now Thursday) then one kid got sick on Tuesday and I got sick on Wednesday. I supposed I will try again Monday of next week. I had a moment of stress this morning because it felt like we were NEVER going to get going full force again. Then I decided to breathe......then I ate some chocolate because let's be honest that breathing crap never really works!!!
My new game plan is to spend today and tomorrow getting next week planned out semi well. With a little luck even if little things sneak into our week and try to derail us we will be able to prevail.

I try to follow Knox County schedule...loosely. ;) But sometimes we still work on snow days/inservice, etc, and then take off when we need or want to without getting behind because we have those days. When we get behind I just plug it in to the end of the year or even make up a day or two in the middle of the summer. One or two days midsummer sometimes actually seems fun to my daughter! Lol
