This class is extremely fun!! I encourage everyone to at least give it a try. Even the ones who didn't think they would like it ended up thinking it was interesting. While the kids were dissecting their owl pellets we went over a few fun owl facts, some facts about the animals the owls ate, etc. We use bone charts to identify exactly what skeletons were in the pellets. We found several different animals and a few full skulls in our pellets. The kids were super excited about that.
After class at home I even let the preschoolers have a go at it. They loved it!!
A great place to purchase owl pellet dissection supplies is from
Home Science Tools . I would like to thank
Imagination Forest for hosting our class:-)
